How to purchase
a Residential Solar System
To buy a solar system there are traditionally 2 options, the client will have to seek financing or pay cash for the system. The following steps are needed when purchasing a solar system:
- Step 1 We need to know if the property that the solar energy system is going to be installed is owned by the client or if it is rented, if it is owned then we can move right ahead however if it is rented then we need a letter from the landlord authorizing you to install a solar system on the property.
- Step 2 We need to get a copy of your last electricity bill, this can give us an understanding of what your energy usage has been over the last 12 months and what size system is suitable for your location.
- Step 3 We need to come in and do an energy audit. This allows us to get a better idea of what your energy usage is at different periods of the day. It also allows us to know what materials is required to do the installation, where to do the installation of the panels on the outside and the inverter, control box and battery on the inside.
- Step 4 We will provide a written quotation which will indicate the cost of the system, the materials needed, when the system can be installed, photo outlay of the area to do the installation. This quotation will also indicate the selling price and the potential savings that the system can generate based on ideal weather conditions.
- Step 5 Once you have agreed to the selling price and the terms of the installation we will send an installation contract to be signed by the client.
- Step 6 We await full payment or a 15% deposit with letter of undertaking from a recognized financial institution for the balance upon completion of the installation confirmed via a letter from POWERPOINT SOLAR.
- Step 7 Installation of the solar energy system
